The first weigh in...

So the Bigg.est lo.ser started last night, and wow, I think this will be a good season. I think I need to put it out there my weight weekly to keep myself accountable for my actions, and my food intake.
The first weigh in yesterday I was at 148.0 lbs. Kinda upsetting that I weigh so much, but I am ready to get it gone!!!

Good news ( not weight related) we got our dental insurance cards, so that means that we should be getting our other insurance cards soon! YAY! now I can get myself to the doc, get my thyroid checked again.. My last doc gave me a very long prescription to tide me over till I was able to get a doc out here, and I really shouldn't be going this long without it being checked. And now I can also get my hormones and other stuff checked for my IF. Whoo whoo! :)

Do it! I know you can! Keep it up! We can be your cheering team!! haha. I was telling JBC this but I'm on this new diet that (antiinflammatory diet)but it is also a very healthy diet. That might be a good start. Look up Dr. Weil on google.

SO excited with you about the insurance. I am happy that you get to start the ball rolling. HUGS

I too watched the Biggest Loser last night and was inspired. However, I refuse to step on the scale for another month at least, because I think I would fall over depressed if I did. Last year was the hardest year ever for weight gain and I really, really, really need to get back on the path to healthy living. So last night I went to the gym...the 1st time in a LONG time. My hip hurts today and I feel like I am 60 years old! Ha!! But I did it. Small baby steps, huh? Happy New Year!

Wow, you are doing pretty good! We are right about the same...I am 151 (oh my gosh I can't believe I just typed that to the world). But I am so short (5'3") so I want to weigh about 120 by the time I'm done. What's your goal? We can keep each other motivated. :)Are you doing any special program or just diet/exercise?

Just got back from a walk in the freezing cold. I have no idea what I weigh because our scale is out of batteries! I know that I have at least 10lbs to lose. All my clothes are tight and I feel so sluggish. I used to be super-fit and Im embarrassed at my weight gain. To top it off I'm just over 5th so anything extra shows.

Keep up the good work!!! You can do it!

Are you going to work along with the Biggest Loser? I had heard that people do that! And I find the show inspiring, although I've also heard a lot of stories to the effect that behind the scenes, the techniques they're using do NOT actually promote health, and the show's medical professionals are ignored and (if they don't keep their mouths shut) replaced, because they recommend against some of the regimens the show requires. Anyway...don't try to compete with their actual raw numbers, which are totally unhealthy. It's so tempting, looking at that, to think you can average eight pounds of loss a week for months on end...but it isn't true.
